Mission
The specific objectives and purposes of Spectrum International Institute for Wellness, Education, and Research set forth in our organizing documents are as follows:
- To further the education of professionals and the public in the areas of wellness, health, science, education, research and spirituality.
- To further knowledge and understanding in the areas of wellness, health, science, education, and research.
- To recognize spirituality and God as being important components of wellness and healing.
Spectrum International Institute for Wellness, Education, and Research will achieve these purposes through specific goals. We seek to facilitate the paradigm shift of health care delivery from that of "fixing disease" to an integrated collaborative program of prevention, wellness, and health through balancing the mind-body-spirit relationship.
In addition, the Spectrum Institute plans to develop and support innovative educational activities focusing on learner-centered, self-directed, individual and small group learning. This effort creates and promotes programs that meet the unique educational needs of individual learners and lead to optimal personal performance.
Finally, we will facilitate the development and implementation of controlled, scientific research studies that enhance the understanding of health, wellness, and spirituality.
